The Use of a Mouth Guard to Stop Snoring
There are various methods that one can try to stop snoring, such as, not drinking alcohol before going to bed, lying on your side and possibly wearing nose strips. However, it may become apparent that you may need to visit your doctor in an atempt to try and stop your snoring. One such method that your doctor may recommend to try and alleviate your condition is to give you a mouth guard to stop snoring. This guard must be used every night for it to work.
So How Does this Guard Work?
A person can be much more prone to start snoring if the tongue, teeth and muscles in the mouth are in the incorrect place when sleeping. Basically the mouth is in the wrong shape and this leads to snoring. Therefore, if this is the issue that you have with your snoring then the use of the mouth guard could help with your condition.
This mouth guard ensures that everything inside your mouth should be in the correct position as you go to sleep. This will reduce the chances of snoring as when sleeping everything in the mouth will start to relax and the mouth guard will make sure that everything is kept in the same position.
The mouth guard to stop snoring has to be prescribed by your doctor as each mouth guard has to be formed to your own mouth and teeth. There are other alignments that may need to be set up depending how you sleep and also the issues that you may have whilst sleeping. Therefore this is why it can only be carried out by your doctor as he/she will have studied your mouth and also your sleeping patterns. This allows them to make the mouth guard fit exactly to your own personal requirements to give the best opportunity to help you stop snoring
